Since then, I enjoyed my stay in the WordPress community so much that I could not help myself involving in the community and WordPress itself. And this time, I am planning to arrange a local WordPress Translation meet up in Pakistan along with Ahmad Awais, on Global WordPress Translation Day 3 \u2013 September 30th, 2017. It was last year, in November 2016, on WordPress Translation Day 2 when he organized a local meetup for this very purpose. Ahmad introduced the Pakistani Developers to the translation, highlighted its significance and explained the entire working process. He was able to curate a team of <strong>more than 60 people<\/strong> who participated in online and offline meet up to translate the WordPress into Urdu.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"eckosc eckosc_full_width_block\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1548 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu.png 600w, https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu-296x300.png 296w, https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu-500x507.png 500w, https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu-400x405.png 400w, https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu-200x203.png 200w, https:\/\/thedevcouple.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/WordPress-4.8-Urdu-50x51.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the very first time, WordPress was translated 100% into Urdu. WordPress 4.7 was the first version to be released in Urdu. Following the spirit, we were able to maintain the translation in v4.8 as well. Currently, three versions, 4.6, 4.7 and 4.8 are available in Urdu. Not only that, but we also participated in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/calderaforms.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Caldera Forms<\/a> party<\/strong> last month and helped them to be available 100% in Urdu. And it&#8217;s quite overwhelming to see this community growing and participating in such events.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Translation party is almost over. The number of translation contributors has significantly grown from <strong>5,000 in 2015 to 17,000 as of 2016<\/strong>. WordPress\u2019 top 10 plugins are now 82% complete in the top 12 languages. The reason is, two-third of the world speaks these 12 languages. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Urdu is spoken by over <strong>100 million<\/strong> people in several different areas of the world, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and the Middle East. Keeping in view these interesting facts, we decided to translate the <\/span><b>WooCommerce <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plugin into Urdu this time. It is a powerful plugin which powers <\/span><b>2,000,000+ e-commerce stores<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Pakistan, the e-commerce industry has grown exponentially in the past year which is primarily due to the availability and rapid adoption of 3G\/4G service. Various items, ranging from food to consumer electronics are now available online. Even local businesses are trying to move online by partnering with online stores to leverage the massive user base in Pakistan. And the availability of WooCommerce in Urdu is certainly going to help the new stores to make a digital presence.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, you can <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crowdcast.io\/e\/gwtd3\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">watch online sessions from community 24 hours<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
