Hello World From WPCouple!
I have to admit, I suck at writing introductory posts, so guess what? This is going to be a short introduction of WPCouple.
The First Attempt
I have had been blogging for last twelve years or so. I remember the first time I tried to start a blog about WordPress; it was 2011 and the domain I bought was WPTuto.com the idea was to provide beginner tutorials like WPBeginner but better and with video content (which WPBeginner have just started). After writing like seven posts, I got bored and felt like there was no need to reinvent the wheel. And fast forward three years, I even let the domain name expire.
The Second Attempt
From 2012 to 2014, I registered several domains to find out what niche I could pick up. Here’s a roundup of a few of them.
- WPInFocus: WP related news, later on, I thought WPTavern was enough.
- WPHawker and now WPMetaList: ProductHunt for WordPress community, but left it for ManageWP.org
- WPHunch: Idea sharing and plugin reviews but didn’t feel the time was right. Team fell apart; I wanted quality content, and while I was willing to pay for it, I was micro-managing all three writers (since they weren’t doing as well as I expected)
Third Attempt
Well, here we are. It’s 2016, and I pretty much know WordPress is my thing. Last year alone I wrote 200+ WordPress articles at sites like Envato Tuts+, SitePoint, TorqueMag, etc. Now I think it’s time I start a blog about WordPress. You might be wondering what’s the difference this time along? Well,
Along withΒ Maedah BatoolΒ (Creative Director @WPTie), I plan to write about stuff that couples well with WordPress.Β When you are looking to build a WordPress website for a particular purpose,Β which plugins and themes serve that purpose right? Yes, this blog will be the answer to this question.
But hey, it’s just an opinion. I am not hiring people to write for me, this time, it is going to be the two of us. Β And with your feedback, I plan to mold and make the content better by the end of this year.
Let’s revisit this page later!
